There is nothing that taste more DELICIOUS than EATING CLEAN (PERIOD). Eating clean = No White Flour, No Sugar (yes, this includes No Alcohol) and No Processed foods. I don't eat white flour, sugar, or processed foods. Weight Loss clients' often say to me "Karen isn't it hard not to eat those types of foods, don't you miss it?" My response is NO I don't miss it and NO it's not a hard thing to do. The opposite is true for me. It would be a lot harder for me to eat white flour, sugar and processed foods because I wouldn't get the results I want. It would be extremely hard for me to be in my body and not feel good, not to achieve optimal health, not to have great physical strength, have low energy, feel irritable, be distracted by how awful I feel and wonder why my body will not take the shape I desire, that is hard!
When I started to become aware of how my body processed and responded to foods of low nutritional value. I recognized I felt AWFUL and it wasn't getting me any closer to the results I wanted. Once and awhile I would trick myself. I would have this wild thought: A cookie or a piece of chocolate won't hurt me. Every single time I let this untrue thought take over my mind and I'd take action I only proved that eating these types of foods do hurt me. I was cheating myself and body with this thought. Here's my much truer thought: A cookie or piece of chocolate will hurt me. White Flour/Sugar and Processed foods are chemicals and when they enter my body it hurts my bodies systems for example; these foods contribute to inflammation in the joints and weaken the immune system. When I chose to eat foods of low quality substance I hurt. This is the exact moment my nutrition changed for good. It is a wonderful gift to be free of white flour, sugar and processed foods.
What do you think you'll remember in 3 months from now? The chocolate cake you ate at the birthday party over the weekend or feeling fabulous in your jeans? What I have found from eating clean is you always remember feeling super healthy and good, having plenty of energy, and how great you look in your clothes. There is nothing more satisfying than feeling phenomenal in your own skin and enjoying the benefits of clean eating . You won't remember that chocolate cake you ate 3 months ago. However, you will recall the headache from all the sugar in the cake and the misery of the realization you sabotage your nutritional goals again.
I promise you this... the longer you eat clean white flour, sugary and processed foods won't taste good and all you will taste is the empty calories. The longer you eat clean the richer and more delicious your life will become.
Eating clean is delicious and creates delicious results. The results prove it!
